Cannabis and Mental Health Premiere Screening
Join us at an on-line screening event of three documentary videos exploring cannabis use and mental health.
1. Weeding through the Myths: Cannabis 101: An introduction to cannabis and its usage, and an exploration of the origins of the stigma, prejudices, discrimination, myths and stereotypes associated with cannabis use.
2. Medical Cannabis for Mental Health: A documentary investigating the reasons why people with mental health issues use cannabis, specifically with regards to impact on their everyday functioning, with excerpts from people who use cannabis and academic experts.
3. Joint Forces: Cannabis Use, Chronic Pain and PTSD among Canadian Veterans: A documentary examining the medical use of cannabis among Canadian military veterans to help with PTSD and chronic pain, with interviews with veterans and academic experts.
Each film is approximately 10 minutes in duration and will be followed by Q & A with the film directors and producers. The films are in English with French subtitles. If you would like to attend this on-line launch event, please register at this Eventbrite link
